Popov Evgeny Gennadievich

Deputy Director General in charge of Corporate Governance, "Interregional Distributive Grid Company of Urals" OJSC

Born on October 20, 1959 in Polevskoy, Sverdlovsk region.

In 1983 he graduated from the Ural Polytechnic Institute named after S.M. Kirov with a major in Applied Physics.

Having graduated, Mr. Popov worked at the Ural Electromechanical Plant (in Sverdlovsk) where he made his way starting as an engineer-physicist and finally being promoted to the position of a design engineer.

In 1996 Evgeny Popov was appointed Deputy Chief Engineer of open joint-stock corporation "Revda Hardware Steel & Iron Plant" (in Revda).

Between 1997 and 2002 Evgeny Popov held senior positions at the largest industrial companies in Sverdlovsk region, notably: Deputy Sales Director at the "Ural Plant of Chemical Reagents" OJSC (in Revda), Deputy Director General of "Sverdlovskmetrostroy" OJSC (Yekaterinburg), Executive Director of the "Ural Venture Fund" CJSC.

From 2002 to 2006 he served as Associate Deputy of Sverdlovsk House of Assembly Regional Duma.

Between 2007 and 2009 Mr. Popov occupied top positions at the Subway Construction Office (a municipal unitary enterprise in Yekaterinburg).

Evgeny Popov is married and brings up a daughter.
