The personnel healthcare is a special part of the Company policy. Here the Company aims at corporate standards which provide high level of health service and recreation, their affordability for each employee and rational healthcare fund allocation.

The Company has developed and implemented the Voluntary Health Insurance Program which includes:

  • outpatient services,
  • inpatient care,
  • emergency medical care,
  • rehabilitation (health resort) treatment,
  • preventive examination,
  • vaccination.

Corporate relations are strengthened when the Company employees take an active part in sport and cultural events. The year 2008 was very fruitful for various corporate events. The Defender's Day and the International Mother's Day were left in our memory. These events included a theatrical performance rehearsed by the Company employees, a visit to one of the non-repertory theatres in Yekaterinburg, Children's Drawing Contest My Mum is a Power Engineer. The official part of the event was opened by A.B. Chubais, the Chairman of the Management Board of RAO UES, who granted thank-you letters and gifts to the Company employees.

Club of the Cheerful and Witty Humor Show consisting of two mixed teams of IDGC of Urals and Sverdlovenergo performed on April Fool's Day.

In September 2008 IDGC of Urals organized the first sports contest in Chelyabinsk region and more than 200 employees from various Company affiliates and subsidiaries participated in it. The power engineers from Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Perm regions competed in two major athletic grounds in Yuzhnouralsk for two days. The sports included indoor soccer, volleyball, chess and tug-of-war.

We remember our senior workers and we use special traditional ways and schemes of interaction with them. We congratulate our ex-workers on the Victory Day, the International Day for the Elderly, Power Engineers' Day as well as on their anniversaries, and assist nonworking retirees in difficult life circumstances. We offer health resorts to the veterans of the power system if they need it. Families receive partial or full reimbursement of funerals costs.

The Company carries on large-scale charity, patronage and sponsor campaigns in its domain including traditional help to Yekaterinburg Suvorov Military School, financial support of the orphanage 9 (pos. Losiny), assistance of the Orthodox Girl Shelter of Novo-Tikhvinskiy Convent as well as about twenty different organizations and communities.
