Results of the Company's Board of Directors Session

March 30, 2009 (Ekaterinburg) - ОАО "IDGC of Urals" (RTS and MICEX: MRKU), united operating company of the Urals region exercising control over distributive grid complexes in Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Kurgan and Perm regions - reports on the results of the Company's BoD session.

March 27, 2009 saw an extramural BoD session which concluded to introduce changes to management bodies of our Company.   

Thus, on March 27, 2009 the Company's Board of Directors decided to change the Company's General Director. Authorities of Mr. Alexei BOBROV as the Company's General Director were early terminated on March 29, 2009. Since March 30, 2009 the BoD of OAO "IDGC of Urals" named Mr. Valeryi RODIN, the former General Director of OAO "Sverdlovenergo" until 2005, to the post of the Company's General Director.

During the press-conference, devoted to his resignation, Mr. Bobrov commented that his resignation is due to termination of reforms in energy sector. "I have been working in energy sector for 10 years by now and cannot imagine myself as the Company's General Director at preretirement age. I still want to progress in other businesses which will be more actual in near-term perspective. I completed all my tasks here, and I would consider my further career with the Company as a linear motion and not development".
